Sometimes the weariness of a job well done just takes over. Taken on my ride home from March Air Reserve Base.

Coming Home 3 by *DiabloAdvocati - The face is nearly hidden, yet the emotion remains fierce and vibrant. Every line of his body screams I'm going home...I'm finally going home and a silent prayer for a clear flight home. - words by suggester

Ah, a fellow Las Vegan (though of course, I'll always consider myself a displaced New Yorker, never a "Las Vegan.)

Thanks for feedback!

At first glance, I thought the earphones were out of place and diminished the picture, but upon second thought I remembered all the times I've collapsed somewhere--under the covers, on a bus, on the floor of a school auditorium--with my headphones and escaped from the world, not so much listening to the music as using it to block out the outside so I could get some mental rest. That seems to be what he's doing here, and that in mind, I really like the presence of the earphones, as well as the whole shot in general. Plus, it's neat to see that even our big, bad soldiers listen to iPods :]

i mean no offence when i say this, but it almost looks like an ipod ad.
Please don’t get what i am about to say wrong. i study the media (im in grade 11 media, its very interesting) and ads will often use emotional and moving pictures in their ads to relate to the audience. its a profit technique (a clever one at that). but this looks like one of those ads.
mind you this is an amazing shot, breath taking if you will, and i completely agree with dana-redde.
awesome

Heh, yeah I at first I thought the same thing, but after a second viewing I realized that the headphones just added to the image.

(btw, in the Air Force we're all called "Airmen," not soldiers. And I'm not sure how big or bad we are. I mean, you know...we've got some fat boys, but I'm not sure that's what you meant)

Thanks...and of course, I don't take offense to constructive criticism.

Though mind you, if it's a little *too* constructive, I may just hunt down your IP address and pay you a visit. With a baseball bat.
